Devil Fruits Guide

The box art promise is 20 Devil Fruits to unlock and fight with, more on the way. That is the whole power system. Morphs change how you look; fruits change how you win. This page teaches you how to read a kit using what Blackbox has actually shown, plus the high-tier names the community is already saving toward. Rankings live on the fruit tier list. Shopping help lives on the fruit picker.

We will not invent a fake 20-name table. When the studio publishes a full roster, it will go on updates and this guide will name every row. Until then, play the archetypes you can see.

Archetypes you can see in official shots

Stretch / rubber. A straw-hat morph fires a giant fist across the grass and deletes a player at the end of the lane. This is a confirm fruit. You want space, a locked camera, and a dash into the punch. Weak in a 35-player pile if you cannot see the line. Strong in bounty duels. PC first, mobile later.

Ice / spiked. A blue, spiked fruit with a frozen swirl crown sits on the plaza stones. Ice is a setup kit: hold, then M1 or a follow-up. Good on mobile because the plan is “wait, then hit,” not a four-button piano. Loses if the freeze misses in a crowd.

Light / star. A glowing star-shaped fruit with classic devil-fruit swirls. Readable projectiles, good for world-boss boards because the beam is a damage button you can mash on a big hurtbox. Loses to people who walk sideways.

Dark / bat-winged. A purple orb with wings, thorns, and a caster morph charging a violet spark. Close-range pressure. You want to be the one who starts the trade. Bad if you are kited by stretch. Good if the enemy cannot camera.

Fire / bruiser. The hook-handed morph crashing through stone with a flaming aura. Wide, greedy, loud. Excellent on a world boss. Risky on bounty because everyone can see you coming.

Swordsman morphs in the same shot are often melee-adjacent fruits or a sword stance on top of a fruit. If your M1 already feels like a kit, do not also buy a four-skill piano until you can hit the first one.

Late names: Buddha and Dragon

Code write-ups talk about Buddha and Dragon as the expensive unlocks people waste weeks on. Treat them as goals, not starters. Buddha-style kits in this genre are usually big, tanky, and simple — great for boss boards. Dragon-style kits are usually greedy AoE — great when you are already good, terrible when you mash. Spend first-hour Yen on an archetype above. Bank toward the legendaries after you can win a fair fight. Best fruits keeps the shopping order.

How to unlock without crying

Fruits cost Yen (and time). Codes print a starter stack — see code rewards. World-boss splits print more. Arena kills print a trickle. There is no confirmed public drop table for a random fruit on the ground; if that spawn exists after a patch, it will be on the updates hub.

Do not buy two fruits in one night. Mastery is a combo, not a collection. The builds page pairs one fruit with one morph on purpose.

How to test a fruit in five minutes

  1. Equip it. Hit a dummy lane: opener, confirm, escape. If you cannot name those three buttons, the fruit is too busy for you today.
  2. Take one real fight. If you lost because you missed, keep it. If you lost because you had no button, sell the idea and pick another archetype.
  3. Take it to a world boss. If you cannot park damage on a giant hurtbox, it is a duel fruit, not a money fruit.
  4. Check PvP tiers for the matchup you just lost.

More on the way

The listing says the roster will grow. New fruits will shuffle the tier list hub. When that happens, do not panic-reroll a kit you already combo. New is not always better; new is unpracticed. Official reveals will also land in the Blackbox Fighting group and Discord, mirrored on links.

Pick one fruit. Play it until the confirm is boring. Then you are allowed to want Dragon.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers to the most common Devil Fruit Arena questions.

How many devil fruits are in Devil Fruit Arena?

Twenty at listing time, with more planned. We describe archetypes we can verify rather than a fake full roster.

What is the best fruit for beginners?

Ice or bruiser on mobile; stretch or light on PC if you can aim. Avoid late names until you have a combo.

Are Buddha and Dragon in the game?

Community guides treat them as high-tier unlocks. They are save goals, not first purchases.

Do morphs replace fruits?

No. Fruits are movesets. Morphs are bodies. Buy the kit first.
